access 2010 "compile error" "the code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit systems" declare ptrsafe

Had this problem when someone went to Office 2010 64-bit version after a PC rebuild.

Luckily all I had to do was edit a single line of code in the VBA function in the database:

http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=221068

So where it says: Declare Function

 you just edit it to: Declare PtrSafe Function

 It can get more complicated but luckily that was all I had to do!

    THIS SAVED ME HOURS OF WORK!! I run a Salvation Army and use a database for my kettles and at this time of year I use this constantly. I got a new computer and it stopped working. Thank you so very very much!!!

    I work in a busy service desk enviroment and just had to sort an old access database running on a new machine with Access 2010. Your quick fix did the trick and saved me hours of head scratching. Thanks !!
